The only live IT-event of 2020 was Gitex Technology Week 2020 in the UAE. The exhibition took place from the 6th to 10th of December at the Dubai World Trade Center. Just two companies from Russia, including PROTEI, set up their stands in the exhibition halls. Our individual booth number Z2-B2 was located in Zabeel hall where visitors could test our innovative products for 4G/LTE, IOT and Smart City.
The Middle East is one of the priority region for PROTEI business development. Our solutions are successfully operating in 7 countries of MENA, so it is extremely important for us to attend personally at GITEX. This year special attention will be paid to PROTEI Private LTE, IOT and Safe City solutions. Leading tech gurus of the company will present full-featured solution for building "turnkey" Private LTE networks. It can be used for Industry 4.0 projects, Mission-Critical services, as well as traditional corporate projects.
PROTEI successfully proven platforms, such as HLR / HSS, GMSC, EIR, STP and others, were also presented at the exhibition. There was a presentation of PROTEI M2M platform. It is a multifunctional software complex that combines an on-line charging system and M2M functions.
Our visitors had got an opportunity to test PROTEI Smart/Safe City solutions. Monitoring systems, Emergency Calls Response Platform , Public Alert System and Cell Broadcast center guarantee high quality and reliability level. And we are currently ready to export these solutions.
PROTEI MENA Branch, our official representative in the region, also took part at the event. More over PortaOne company became a co-exhibitor of PROTEI at GITEX 2020, their OSS/BSS solutions were also presented at stand Z2-B2. PROTEI took part at AfricaCom-2020 online event. PROTEI mobile solutions have been well known in North and West Africa since 2005 and the demand for them has constantly growing. From 9th to 12th of November 2020 leading specialists of the company will be happy to welcome visitors at our virtual booth. The online exhibition and conference focused to fresh insights about the latest innovations and trends in of African digital technologies.
AfricaCom is a major international event in Africa concerning telecommunications and innovations. This year the event moved to the Internet. But PROTEI was happy to see online visitors at our virtual booth anyway. We presented our Private LTE, EPC and Network Core solutions and told about our traditional VAS-platforms, roaming solutions and traffic analysis systems. We conducted series of negotiations with our African and international partners during AfricaCom online event.

PROTEI is successfully developing its business in Africa region, so we exhibited at AfricaCom trade-show for the third time in 2019. AfricaCom is the top Pan-African IT-exhibition. It gathers leaders and decision makers from across Africa and the international community to learn and to do business. PROTEI presented its solutions and installation experience from the 12 th to 14th of November at the booth A66A in Connectivity Hall, Cape Town, South Africa.
The first installation of PROTEI service platform in the Africa region was carried out in 2005 in Senegal. Since then, our portfolio has grown significantly, and nowadays the region mobile network subscribers from 12 countries are actively using services based on our solutions. In addition to well-known Roaming, Messaging, DPI and VAS solutions PROTEI will bring its expanded line of EPC platforms for LTE networks to AfricaCom-2019. This is especially relevant as the significant growth in LTE coverage in Africa over the past 2 years.
PROTEI EPC is designed for building LTE packet core. It provides a wide range of multimedia services in real time. EPC solution allows to efficiently implement the required services, provides wide bandwidth with minimal delays and guarantees the specified QoS. The key feature of our solution is an easy integration with traditional 2G/3G networks connected via external SGSN. EPC complex includes MME, SGW, PDN GW / GGSN, HLR/HSS and PCRF, which allows to implement LTE packet core fully based on PROTEI equipment or to introduce needed core elements gradually.

The Russia–Africa Summit will be held on 23–24 October 2019 at the Sirius Park of Science and Art in Sochi. Key roles in the summit will play Russian President Vladimir Putin and leaders of African states. The Russia-Africa Economic Forum will alongside the Summit. The main goal of the Forum is to demonstrate and discuss the achievements and possibilities of cooperation among States in economics, science, ecology and culture areas.

Continuing its MVNO-events tour, PROTEI has built the booth at MVNOs Latam-2019 exhibition in Bogota, Colombia. The exhibition and conference concerning MVNO/MVNE business in Latin America opened its doors from 18th to 19th of June in Grand Hyatt Hotel lobby. PROTEI presented its innovative solutions and told about our experience in MVNO-projects implementing in different countries.
List of MVNOs Latam participants included MVO/MVNO operators from Mexico, Colombia, Peru, USA, Argentina, Costa Rica, Brazil and Uruguay. PROTEI solutions have been working in the region more than three years, and our equipment was installed in 4 countries of Latin America. Therefore, it was decided to exhibit at MVNOs Latam-2019 for expanding actual business contacts and search for new interesting projects.
PROTEI paid special attention to our new Evolved packet core (EPC) solutions designed for creating LTE network packet core and to the most popular roaming solutions such as Roaming Optimization Suite, Steering, Multi-IMSI at the event. PROTEI exhibited at MVNO World Congress-2019. The event was held in Amsterdam at Hotel Okura from the 21th to 25th of May 2019. PROTEI as well-knoewn MVNO/MVNE developer presented again its innovative mobile solutions to at the event.
Our stand 3 was located in the hall of Okura hotel, however the range of MVNO/MVNE solutions was expanded compared with the previous years.
Complementing its MVNO/MVNE portfolio PROTEI promoted EPC product line, especially our last developments such as SGW and MME. PROTEI SGW routes and forwards user data packets, while also acting as the mobility anchor for the user plane during inter-eNodeB handovers and as the anchor for mobility between LTE and other 3GPP technologies. PROTEI MME is the key control-node for the LTE access-network that processes signaling between the UE and the core network. It manages establishment, maintenance and release of bearers and the connection, authentication (by interacting with the HSS) and security between the UE and the network. The MME Performs mobility management, like tracking UE location and handover, and manages subscription profile and service connectivity. It checks the authorization of the UE and enforces UE roaming restrictions.
PROTEI EPC set of solutions now consists of MME, SGW (Serving GW), PDN GW/GGSN, and optionally HLR/HSS and PCRF components, or any combination of these, providing a fully functional solution.
The most marketable PROTEI roaming solutions such as Multi-IMSI Roaming platform, SMS Welcome and Roaming Tariff Advisor, Roaming Optimization Suite, Local Number for Visitors, Roaming Assistant and Steering of Roaming system was also be presented in Amsterdam.

PROTEI has exhibiting at Mobile World Congress–2019. The event was held in Barcelona at Fira Gran Via from the 25th to 28th of February 2019. PROTEI as an international telecom vendor will again present its innovative mobile solutions to at the event.
Our stand 5H20 was located in pavillion 5 as usual, however the range of solutions was expanded compared with the previous years. In 2019, PROTEI promoted MNO/MVNO product line at MWC-2019 focusing on roaming platforms, DPI and PCRF systems.

PROTEI has once again become an exhibitor of Mobile World Congress-2018, the most important mobile technologies trade fair in the world. The congress traditionally has taken place in Barcelona, Spain from 26th of February to 1st of March 2018. 17 Russian participants were at the congress exhibiting in 2018, and PROTEI was one of them. PROTEI experts presented our mobile and MVNO solutions at Hall 5 Booth 5H20.
PROTEI has presented GPRS Gateway Service Node (GGSN) at Mobile World Congress-2017. GGSN allows efficiently organizing the interaction of the GPRS-based network via GTP protocol with any external IP-networks. That presentation stimulated new projects and shown us development prospects of CS and PS Core product line.
PROTEI supported again in 2018 the tradition to unveil new products during Mobile World Congress. Complementing its MVNO/MVNE portfolio PROTEI presented M2M solution intended for mobile device management. This system expands existing PROTEI OCS functionality and answers demands of operators serving IOT customers. The M2M subsystem supports such functions as device control, location check (including determining permitted location areas), on-line charging and status management. System supports variety of notification capabilities; notifications may be triggered upon detection of reaching pre-defined consumption thresholds, unexpected location change, changing IMEI for the particular SIM-card and so on. Criteria may be flexibly defined for different group of SIM cards and/or group of devices. Full-featured API for integration with external application platforms is supported.System may be delivered as pre-integrated part of field-proven PROTEI MVNO bundle or integrated with 3rd party core elements.
PROTEI leading specialists have presented M2M platform and other traditional systems to all visitors of the booth. The presentations were made in Russian, English, Spanish, French and Arabic.
PROTEI has already signed the contract for the participation in the Mobile World Congress-2019, and we plan to hold business meetings and negotiations with all our customers from 28 countries, as well as to promote Russian equipment to the international telecommunications market.

The international "Internet of Things" (IoT) forum has taken place in Saint-Petersburg on the 14th of December 2017. It joined together SW and HW providers, startups, potential investors, analysts and business representatives for discussing Russian and international IoT achievements and technologies. PROTEI has presented its innovative products for IoT at the stand in the lobby of “PetroCongress” center and at the conference.
PROTEI VP marketing and business development Vladimir Freinkman, well-known as IT-technologies guru, presented the report "Special MVNO for IoT. How and why?" He told the audience about our technical solutions for IIoT and future business models for their implementation. More detailed information about our systems for IoT and about all PROTEI traditional solutions each visitor could get at our booth on the ground floor of congress center.
17 years of experience in intelligent platforms’ development plus fundamental knowledges in mobile networks helped us to create an extended product portfolio for creating IoT infrastructure based on MVNO. Such a model for IoT-services launching is efficient, because, firstly, it takes into account all traffic characteristics from "smart" devices, and secondly, it allows implementing full-fledged services with minimal infrastructure expenses.

The international exhibition Fihav-2017 was successfully completed in Havana on the 3-d of November 2017. PROTEI has become a participant of the event and presented its solutions for visitors form dozens of countries. PROTEI was one of fifteen participants from Russia and offered its' IT- products to Cuba and Latin America telecom market. This year our stand had a great location in pavilion 24 of the EXPOCUBA exhibition center on the territory of Russian manufacturers united exposition.
In 2017 PROTEI has focused on security systems (like system 112, Safe City and Emergency Alert) and NGN equipment for upgrading fixed-line networks and providing contemporary communication services. Our specialists have also presented PROTEI service platforms for mobile operators and advanced DPI-solution, which, by the way, had been successfully operating in Cuba for more than 2 years. PROTEI was already well-known here, and state representatives, embassy heads, deputy minister of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry, representatives from MINCEX and several Latin American operators visited our exposition.

PROTEI has exhibited at the MVNO World Congress-2017 in April 24-27 at the Nice Acropolis Convention Center. It’s the global MVNO industry event, dedicated to the latest innovations in MVNO-business and technologies. PROTEI has taken part at the event for the second time.
PROTEI has presented the whole MVNO/MVNE product portfolio at the booth N17, including our latest novelty – GPRS Gateway Support Node (GGSN). This node is the heart of Packed Core of mobile operator, responsible for interworking between the mobile network and external IP-networks. This network node involved in all key procedures related to the data traffic processing such as mobility management, session management and transport for Internet Protocol packet services in GSM, UMTS and LTE networks.

PROTEI has once again participated in Mobile World Congress-2017, the most important mobile technologies trade fair in the world. The congress has taken place in Barcelona Spain from 27 February to 2 March 2017. PROTEI specialists presented our mobile and MVNO solutions at Hall 5 Booth 5H20!
PROTEI has exhibited together with our partners in the Middle East (MENA PROTEI Branch formerly known as Silat Solutions). As experts in mobile technologies, NGN and IMS our representatives at the event presented PROTEI new products and best practices of implementation. Complementing its MVNO/MVNE portfolio PROTEI firstly presented GGSN/PDN-GW at Mobile World Congress-2017. This node is the heart of Packed Core of mobile operator, responsible for interworking between the mobile network and external IP-networks. This network node involved in all key procedures related to the data traffic processing such as mobility management, session management and transport for Internet Protocol packet services in GSM, UMTS and LTE networks.
Professionals, industry speakers and companies from around the globe attend Mobile World Congress each year. The organizers summed up the results ant shown us that this yaer the event opened doors for 108,000 trade visitors and 2,200 exhibitors. And PROTEI has again become one of key Russian exhibitors!
We demonstrated our well-known solutions for mobile operators and several novelties for MVNO/MNE and conducted negotiations with partners from MENA, Eastern Europe, South Affica, Latin America and Russia. PROTEI has already begun to develop new products that would be presented in Barcelona in 2018.

PROTEI has become one of key participants at "MVNO Russia 2016" in Moscow. The event brought together mobile operators, Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation representatives and leading MVNO-solutions developers.
PROTEI product portfolio contains a wide range of solutions for MVNO including "full-MVNO" model.
PROTEI VP Marketing and Business Development Vladimir Freinkman presented at the event a report named "Full-MVNx enrollment approaches for different target strategies". In the report he shared his great experience in developing projects and unveiled several secrets of launching successful MVNO-projects in Russia and abroad.
Our participation at "MVNO Russia 2016" gave us a great opportunity to share PROTEI experience with colleagues and analyze current trends at Russian MVNO-market.

PROTEI became a participant of "Integrated Safety and Security-2016" exhibition in Moscow, All-Russia Exhibition Centre. From 17th to 20th of May 2016 in pavilion №75 you could visit our booth C3 for testing PROTEI solutions for emergency services.
This year PROTEI demonstrated a wide functionality of software and hardware platform "Safe City" designed by our professionals. The mini-system “Safe City” worked in real time mode for demonstrating all benefits of our solution. Set of the working PROTEI equipment at our booth included several PCs with specialized software, IP-cameras, a set of loud-speaker notification, video surveillance server, telecommunication gateway and others. Our visitors tested functionality of our emergency system “112”, “Safe City”, Alert Notification, Video Surviellance and Smart Parking solutions.
All PROTEI "Safe City" components were available at stand C3 for testing as a part of complex solution based on unified integration platform, and as standalone systems.

PROTEI as leading Russian MVNO-systems developer has taken part in MVNO World Congress-2016 in Amsterdam 11-14th April 2016. We presented our product line for MVNOs to international specialists and shared our experience in full-MVNO network launching. Our booth 16 in the hall of Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky became an attractive place for mobile gurus and PROTEI partners.
PROTEI presented its fully equipped portfolio to propose turn-key set for full-MVNO creation. It includes both core products such as HLR/HSS, STP, GMSC, media-gateways, PCRF (DPI) and VAS products traditional for PROTEI such as SCP, SMSC and so on. Several platforms like HLR/HSS and OCS (Prepaid) specially adapted for MVNO/MVNE needs allowing building several MVNO sharing one platform. PROTEI has once again participated in the largest russian telecom industry exhibition “Svyaz-Expocomm-2015”. The exhibition took place in Moscow from the 12th to 15th of May and brought together leading industry experts to demonstrate their solutions and discuss current perspectives of IT- trends in Russia and in the world. This year PROTEI has demonstrated the latest developments for MNE and MVNO, fixed-line operators, service- and content-providers and state agencies in hall 2 booth 21D20.
MVNOs appreciated PROTEI HLR/HSS which functionality completely corresponded all relevant 3GPP standards and covered requirements of any mobile operators. The system includes HLR and HSS functional modules that give a unique opportunity to build MVNO or MVNE delivering both GSM/UMTS and LTE services. Wide range of supported signaling protocols and dialects enables easy system integration into heterogeneous network environment.
A novelty in the field of integrated security systems became Safe City platform. It's a comprehensive solution allows fast and effective deployment of regional or municipality public security system. It can integrate all security-relevant information of different types and from any existing security systems into one information area for identify and complex act in real-time and post-event analysis.
At “Svyaz-Expocomm-2015” we demonstrated the functional model of the Safe City platform that combines different PROTEI security systems: Warming Alarm System, Emergency Call Center, Video Surveillance and Analysis Reporting Subsystem.

PROTEI has participated in Mobile World Congress 2015, the world’s biggest mobile event. The congress took place from March 2nd to 5th in Barcelona, Spain. In 2015 we located in Hall 5 Booth 5H20.
Traditionally PROTEIN has exhibited together with Silat Solutions, PROTEI MENA regional branch. As experts in mobile technologies our representatives unveiled new products for MNE and MVNOs and best practices for implementing them.
This year PROTEI unveiled new core network solution Home Location Register (PROTEI HLR/HSS) that fully meets any today and tomorrow needs of the Operator. PROTEI Home Location Register is a cost-effective, high performance and scalable solution. It is a central database that contains details of each mobile phone subscriber that is authorized to use the GSM core network. It contains user information such as account information, account status, user preferences, features subscribed to by the user, user’s current location, etc. HLR/HSS has completed PROTEI core network product line together with GMSC and STP and became really successful product at international IT-market.

From 2nd to 8th of November 2014 in Habana, Republic of Cuba was hold an International Exhibition “Fihav-2014”, PROTEI took part in it for the third time. In Russian hall 24 PROTEI presented its integrated security systems, service platforms and DPI solutions.
"In 2014, we brought not only presentation materials, but really operating equipment," - says Daria Obukhova, representative manager in Latin America and the Caribbean, - "Our visitors can test a mini-system "Safety city" in real time at our booth, and I called it "mini" not by its functionality, but only by number of video cameras and agents desktops. Especially for our Cuban colleagues the system interface was translated into Spanish. All functions of emergency operators (112, fire or medical services), surveillance and notification agents desktops were available for testing at our booth №6 in the Russian pavilion."
On the third day of the exhibition senior Abelardo Colome Ibarra, Minister Of Interior Affairs of Cuba, visited PROTEI booth and attentively listened to a brief presentation of our equipment. And the next day our system were tested by technicians from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, fire and medical services of Cuba.
PROTEI system “Safety city” demonstrated its efficiency in an incident at the exhibition. At the nearby booth was stolen a mobile phone, but the thief have not seen the working IP-camera of PROTEI surveillance system "Videoportal" looking at him. As soon as the loss was discovered, in the video archive was found moment of the incident and the thief was identified. Security service arrested him, and the phone in 2 hours after the disappearance was returned to its owner. This incident and its successful completion was made a great impression to Cuban specialists, as even in test mode, our complex has worked as a real emergency system.
This year at “Fihav-2014” PROTEI specialists has signed agreement on the organization a complex test zone of integrated security system PROTEI in Havana, received an official resolution of successful results of DPI-platform testing and got several requests from Cuban colleagues for roaming platform, Intelligent Network and VAS equipment.

PROTEI once again has participated in the Mobile World Congress-2014 in Barcelona at Fira Gran Via exhibition centre.
From the 24th to 27th of February, the largest international mobile industry exhibition brought together mobile operators, solution providers, equipment manufacturers and content providers from around the world. Leading specialists converged on Barcelona to demonstrate their achievements, exchange experience and discuss global trends in the development of mobile communications.
Silat Solutions, our partner in the Middle East, exhibited together with PROTEI at hall 6 booth I22.
The main novelty at Mobile World Congress-2104 from PROTEI has become GMSC (Gateway Mobile Switching Center) intended to suite needs of MVNOs and small/medium sized operators. Its functionality is based on Softswitch class 4 and provides flexible signaling and voice traffic routing capabilities, SSP functionality, high performance, full compatibility with equipment of different vendors in addition to all GMSC functions supported according to 3GPP standards. The system supports wide range of additional features including traffic balancing, redundant routes, QoS management and MNP.
In Barcelona PROTEI has also presented a range of its unique roaming solutions: Dual-IMSI roaming platform, Routing Optimization Server, Local Number for Visitors service, Roaming Assistant and Steering of Roaming systems and others.
Answering operator demands PROTEI unveils new generation of its DPI and PCRF solutions for mobile and fixed operators including LTE ones. Having increased solution capacity and enhanced functionality the platform suites needs of highly-demanded operators. PROTEI DPI supports policy enforcement and charging rules on a per-data flow basis according to service type, date and time, subscriber's service usage history, subscriber's location, instructions from external policy server etc. Different policies can be applied depending on protocol detected, e.g. operator may apply special charging rules for Facebook, Youtube or Skype. Embedded data bundles management functionality enables to create different data offers according to operator’s marketing needs (regular, service-based, one-time, location-based, with special charging algorithms etc). Billshock prevention functionality is supported as well.
PROTEI and Silat Solutions delegates have taken part in all forum events, made presentations of equipment for our visitors and conducted effective business negotiations with our partners and customers form different countries. According to results of the Mobile World Congress-2014 was decided to come back to Barcelona in 2015.

PROTEI has once again presented its solutions at the largest telecommunications exhibition in Russia, Sviaz-Expocomm 2013, which was hold from the 14th to 17th of May at the Expocentre exhibition centre in Moscow.
This year our specialists brought a whole range of new offerings for mobile and fixed network operators, as well as a unique set of solutions for building integrated security systems and the Russian 112 emergency services network.
In keeping with the latest tendencies in the mobile industry, PROTEI has created a range of highly promising roaming solutions. The launch of our Steering of Roaming and Dual-IMSI Roaming platforms was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona. Russian specialists had the opportunity to take a closer look at these solutions in Moscow at Sviaz-Expocomm 2013.
The main focus of our presence at the exhibition was on integrated security systems and solutions for building the Russian 112 system. Development of solutions for emergency services is an ongoing process, with new functionality for agent's desktop, improvements in the electronic report workflow for operators and supervisors and significantly increased capabilities for the public warning system.
Another fast-developing area in PROTEI is in the field of deep packet inspection systems and their practical application in live networks. The DPI platform from PROTEI is the only such system to date produced by a Russian manufacturer and deployed in real field conditions that is designed for seventh-level intelligent traffic management. It is a unique tool for balancing traffic in high network load situations.

The 30th annual Havana International Fair FIHAV-2012 was held this year from the 4th to 10th of November at the ExpoCuba international exhibition centre in Havana, Cuba.
This year, Russian manufacturers and developers were in a separate pavilion where more than 40 well-known Russian companies, including PROTEI, exhibited their achievements.
Our specialists provided information about PROTEI's latest developments, as well as details of projects and solutions available to the Cuban telecommunications market.
Local authorities and representatives of the telecommunications sector expressed their interest in solutions offered by PROTEI in the area of equipment for building NGN networks, enhancing mobile services and equipping emergency services.

PROTEI traditionally participates in the Mobile Word Congress that will take place in Barcelona (February 14-17) and presents both the well-known and new solutions that enable mobile operators to effectively develop their business and optimize their infrastructure.
Roaming products forms an important part of PROTEI product line. Over the past year, the company's portfolio was supplemented by several solutions in this area, it is expected the commercial release of several other platforms. PROTEI will present Roaming Optimization Suite, new generation or Steering Platform, Dual / Multi-IMSI roaming enabler and Gateway Location Register (GLR). Innovative solution for IP-Roaming (WiFi / GSM Roaming Optimization Suite) will also be presented.
Another new product will be presented considered to be useful for operators in today's market conditions. This is SIM-box detection platform intended for testing the transparency of the transfer of address information and the detection of GSM-gateways (SIM-boxes). This platform allows effectively identifying and preventing unauthorized traffic termination to the operator's network. This threat is one of the most widespread today, it seriously cuts operator's interconnect revenues and decrease calls quality. From 2 to 7 November, Havana (Cuba) will host the 27th edition of the traditional Havana International Trade Fair (FIHAV-2009). The fair will take place at EXPOCUBA Fairgrounds in the city of Havana. At the fair, PROTEI Scientific Technical Center will present its innovative solutions specifically designed for the development of telecommunication networks in Cuba and the countries of Latin America.
FIHAV fair is a very important event in Latin America where achievements in various fields of national economy are presented. As usual, PROTEI Scientific Technical Center will present at the trade fair its complex of equipment for building next generation communications networks (NGN), with real-time demonstration of operation of all equipment.
